Burmese border guard police (BGP) destroyed 35 houses – Du Chee Ya Tan ( Kiladong) and Khonzabill- since December 18 – 20,under Maungdaw south, said an elder female, Samira from Maungdaw south.
Two sections of BGP personnel from the Godu Sara bridge check-post and Alay Than Kyaw BGP out post are giving ordered to destroy houses of said village – 22 houses from Du Chee Ya Tan and 13 houses from Khonzabill, Samira more added.
The army and the BGP personnel jointly burned down the homes of Rohingya villagers in northern Maungdaw, but, now, BGP personnel are demolishing Rohingya houses in southern part of Maungdaw. Maybe, it is a new tactic, Hamid, a teacher from Maungdaw south.
The BGP are destroying homes under different pretext, thus steadily displacing the Rohingya community with a clear intention of finally driving out from the Arakan soil, Hamid said.
The demolished homes from Du Chee Ya Tan are—- Sira Jullah ( 26); Ms Rashida Begum( 55); Faya Zullah (54); Mahdu (60); Azeem Khan (30); Harun (30); Khobir Ahmed (25); Md Rashid ( 29); Nur Islam (40); NdAnu Meah (30); Anwar (22) ; Md Enus (30) and Ms Rahima Khatun ( 48), and Sayed Alam (55), son of Nukmal Hakim, Sayed (32), son of Shona Ahmed, Shona Meah (55), son of Nabi Hussain, Amin Ullah (30), son of Abdul Hakim, Rashida (40), Mohamed Hashim (30), son of Mason and Mamuda (40) are belong to Khonza Bill village, said Lal Meah from Alay Than Kyaw.
However, Burmese government has agreed to grant “necessary humanitarian access” to the troubled Arakan (Rakhine) State, after Foreign ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) met in Rangoon on December 19 to discuss the situation in Arakan (Rakhine) State, but, the security forces are still destroying Rohingyas home in Maungdaw south, Kamal, a ex- teacher from the areas.
