A drug addict Rohingya refugee was killed for his misbehavior to refugees in the camp on February 29, said Hussain, a refugee from Kutupalong unregistered camp. The deceased was identified as Mannnan Majee (30), son of Abdul Karim of Block- A 3, Kutupalong makeshift camp, he more added.

Mannan quarreled with some refugee in the camp in the morning, on February 29, while he had used drug and misbehaving the refugees while he was out of control. The refugees tried to control him, but fail, according to the refugees.

During the quarreled, he was beaten by the refugees until he became unconscious. After seeing his condition, the refugees sent him to near the hospital of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) International (Holland) at about 11:00am, but the doctor declared his dead at about 1:00 pm, said Kalaya, a refugee elder from the camp.

After postmortem, the dead body was handed over to the relatives and buried at the cemetery of refugees’ camp March 1.

A case was file in the camp by camp security force and giving permission to bury, said Anoo, a relative of victim.
