A Rohingya refugee boy of Kutupalong makeshift camp was hit and killed on the spot by a speedy truck in Teknaf-Cox’s Bazar highway on May 8,2017, Eman Hussain, a refugee from Kutupalong makeshift camp said.
The deceased was identified as— Mir Kasim (12) , Block-B, of Kutupalong makeshift camp which is being not supported by the Bangladesh government and UNHCR, Eman added.
Mir Kasim is an ice cream bar seller, he bought some ice-cream from the Kutuaplong Bazaar and was going to Balukhali for selling them while a speedy dump truck hit and killed on the spot, Dos Mohamed, another refugee said.
Mohammed also said, some people collected the number of the truck and informed to police over cell phone. Police immediately seized the truck after receiving information.
However, police solved the problems by taking some compensations from the owner of truck, according to refugees.
The dead body was buried in the refugee cemetery later, the refugees more added.
