Missing 2, arrested 11 villagers in Maungdaw

Border Guard Police arrested 11 villagers on March 31, in Maungdaw Township on suspicion of having link with Rohingya militants, said a village elder Mohamed shaker from Sintamnaung village.
Regarding this, on March 12, there was a man missing in Sintamaung village of Maundaw north and similarly, another man was missing in Ngasar Kyeu village of Maungdaw north on March 27, he added.

Villagers are living in their villages with fear for frequently missing villagers from their villages, said another man Lalu from the village.

Government alleged that the missing villagers had been abducted by Rohingya militants but villagers believed that the problems were created by concerned authority, a trader said from Maungdaw Town on condition of anonymity.

However, by any means, Rohingya villagers are sufferers, he added.
