In the name of RSO searching, army destroy houses and shop

Maungdaw, Arakan State: More than one hundred military went to Thee Chaung (Balu Khali) village of Powet Chaung village tract of Maungdaw Township and searched and destroyed three houses and one shop of Rohingyas over the allegation that some RSO members entered that place and taking shelter on October 21, at about 9:00am, said Rashidul Amin (not real name) a village elder from the areas. “The owners of destroyed houses are identified as— Younus (27), son of Abdu Munaf, Saful Karim (35), son of Abdu Salam and Maulana Mohamed Yousuf (40), son of Abdu Matalab. They also destroyed the shop of Maulana Yousuf, which is established at Balu Khali market and taken away many goods from the shop.”

The military also beat to a woman named Younus Shofa (32), wife of Karim because of not opening the door. The owners of the three houses ran away from the scene to avoid arrest and torture, a close relative of the victim said.

According to the villagers, Kamal, the village administration officer accompanied by five others gave misinformation to the military about RSO personnel entered and stay in the village at these home to take revenge of said three villagers because of previous enmity.

The village admin officer are giving misinformation to the authority to harass and destroy the family who are against to them (admin officer and collaburators), when the situation is going to favor to them (authorities’ collaborators), the villagers more said.

Presently, many of the Rohingya villagers have been facing a constant torture and arrest by the Burmese BGP with showing reason of linked to the RSO as daily basis, where RSO is totally disbanded since decades.
