Arrest and torture for blaze in Maungdaw north

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Police arrested and tortured four Rohingya village admin officer for blazing of Taungbro Letwe police station near the boat jetty on April 14 at about 1:30pm, said Hamid, an elder from the area.
The blaze was started from the cooking by the police personnel and the police accusing and alleged to Rohingya who are leaders of Taungbro-mostly village admin officer, Hamid said.
The building was former UNHCR office and store, but it was using by police department since long, Hamid more added.
The police officers and other admin officers went to the spot and planned to accuse the Rohingyas for blaze. The police accused four Rohingya who are recently working as village admin officers and member, said Haroon, a businessman from Maungdaw.
The Rohingya are;- Noor Husson, Ward number 1, admin officer, Abdullah, the Ward number 2, admin officer, Didar Ahmed, the Ward number 5 admin officer and Abdul Karim a village admin office member of ward 2, Harron said.
The Rohingya officers were arrested and locked at the police station where they were threaten physically and mentally. One of the Rohingya leader condition was serious injured. The police officer didn’t give them medical treatment. It is a serious violation of Human Rights, said Halim, a Human Rights Watchdog from Maungdaw.
The family members were worried for them as nobody was allowed to meet them, Halim said.
Why the government officials alleged the blaze was set by them. There may be some secret plan of government or police officials. May be it depend on the issue of census where all the Rohingya denied to participate for refusing to identify Rohingya as race in the census, Halim more added.
