Pneumonia spread at Bangladesh-Burma border

Teknaf, Bangladesh: Tropical diseases – pneumonia, Diarrhea, fever and cough have recently spread among the people in Bangladesh-Burma border, a local village doctor from Teknaf town said. “Mostly children, women have been suffering from various diseases after falling very cold across the Bangladesh.”

According to refugees, the effected children and elders are going to the refugee clinic for treatment. They are given basic treatment by doctors of the camps.

Besides, more than 50 locals including children with pneumonia and diarrhea have been admitted at Teknaf government hospital since Thursday. They are being given treatment, according to sources.

Doctor, Ataur Rahaman from Teknaf said that diarrhea has affected to the children because of unhygienic and drinking un-boiling water.
