Maungdaw, Arakan State: The head of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and seven foreign ministers from the group’s member states arrived in Maungdaw today at 11:00am and meet Rohingya and Rakhine leaders in the district admin office hall, where authority restricted to explain real fact of Rohingya situation in Maungdaw, said Halim (not real name), the Human Rights watchdog from Maungdaw.
Maungdaw high official gave permission to meet the OIC delegation 20 people each from Rohingya and Rakhine. But, the Township administration officer-U Kyi San- ordered to all village admin officers to make sure not to explain the delegation about real fact of Rohingya situation in Maungdaw, Halim said.
All the Rohingya participants of OIC delegation meeting must be reported to Township admin office after meeting finished, ordered to all participants by township admin officer, said a participants who didn’t want to be named.
Rohingya got only permission to say the delegation that two communities – Rohingya and Rakhine – are living peacefully and there was no conflict between two communities after June 8, 2012, the participant said.
There is no Rohingya in Burma, but OIC and other people from outside are forcing to recognize Rohingya to us. They –Rohingya- are illegal entering to Burma and belong to Bangladesh. Here, they claim Rohingya and ethnicity, told Htun Aye Thein and Htun Myint Thein –the head of trader association.- to the OIC delegation.
The name will decide by government after 2014 census finished, the delegation headed- OIC General Secretary Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu- said to the participants in the meeting.
No Rohingya participant want to explain about them first in the meeting, at last, Yousuf -admin officer of block number two, Basar – admin officer of block 5 and admin officer of Sankarpinyin- give the massage from Rohingya of Maungdaw as per official direction, said Yousuf, with sadness.
The OIC visit was an opportunity to “clear doubts” about Myanmar’s commitment to protecting the rights of Muslims. If they visit … they will see the truth with their own eyes – they will see that the Myanmar government hasn’t discriminated against any religion or any nationality,” said Ye Htut, the president spokesperson.

Rakhine community hold banners and posters which said OIC get out, Don’t interfere in Burma, along the road from Maungdaw football ground to entry point of Myoma Khayoungdan village. The banners were brought with Hlutin’s vehicle by Hluntin to the Rakhine community early morning, said Haroon, a student from Maungdaw.
The authority didn’t restrict Rakhine holding banners and posters, but restrict Rohingya not to welcome and not say the real facts of Rohingya situation in Maungdaw, Harron said.
The authority severed lunch at Daywanadi hall of Trader association to the delegation and left Maungdaw by helicopter at 2:00pm today.
The Rohingya participants are – Yousuf, block 2 admin officer; Younous, block 2; Basar, block 5; Adbul Amin, block 5; Azimullah, block 2; Kamal, block 2; Anisrul Rahaman, Myoma Khayoundan; Abdul Rahim, Myoma Khayoungdan; Nurul haque and Rashid from block 6;Abul Kasim, Labawzar and the admin officer of Sankarpinyin, said Basar, the block 5 admin officer.
