Maungdaw, Arakan State: Rohingya young people are distributing the 10 Muslims massacred pictures to the local Rohingya in northern Arakan –Maungdaw and Buthidaung- on June 6, according to a student from Maungdaw.
“We read the news about the 10 Muslims massacred by the gang of Rakhine racists in Taungup on June 3 evening form websites and Facebook online. We also get the pictures which were published in the websites and Facebook. We- Rohingya youth- tried to prints out the 10 Muslim massacred pictures from computer shop whose are closed to us to distribute it to our community.”
But, one young Rohingya and a computer shop owner were arrested by Buthidaung police for printing the picture of 10 massacred Muslims yesterday after noon, said an elder from Maungdaw.
“The Rohingya community from Buthidaung went to the police station and demanded peacefully to release the arrested two Rohingya youths where they stayed in front of police about half an hour. The concerned police personnel control the situation and the crowd Rohingya went to their places. At night the two Rohingyas were released.”
In northern Arakan, most of Rohingya had seen the pictures which were distributed by young Rohingya copying and printing from internet to the rural area.
Similarly, Burmese Rohingya refugee from Nayapara camp of Bangladesh distributed the pictures of 10 massacred Muslims in the camp on June 7, according to refugee elder from the camp.
“We distributed the pictures to show the refugees and nearby local, how the Muslim of Burma are living and what is happen to them.”
